- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray (olive oil variety recommended)
- Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare Breading Station: Set up three bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and a mix of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bread the Cheese Sticks: Coat each mozzarella half in flour, then egg, and finally breadcrumb mixture. Repeat for a double coating if desired.
- Freeze: Place breaded sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Set to 390°F (199°C).
- Air Fry: Cook in batches, lightly spraying with oil. Flip halfway through the 6-8 minute cooking time.
- Serve: Rest for 1-2 minutes before serving with marinara sauce.
