- 1 cup crushed saltine crackers
- 1 cup milk
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture: Combine ground beef, crushed crackers, milk, diced onion, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 8-10 portions and shape into oval patties. Press a slight indentation in the center of each.
- Chill the Patties: Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Brown the Patties: Heat oil in a skillet and brown the patties on both sides.

- Bake to Perfection: Arrange browned patties in the baking dish, pour the gravy over them, and cover with foil. Bake for 45-50 minutes, removing foil for the last 15 minutes.
