Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease 9×13-inch baking dish; optionally line with parchment paper.
  2. In saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to boil. Remove from heat, stir in flour all at once. Return to low heat, stir until dough forms ball and pulls from pan (1-2 minutes).
  3. Transfer dough to bowl; cool 5 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time until dough is thick, glossy, and smooth.
  4. Spread dough evenly in baking dish using spatula dipped in cold water.
  5. Bake 30-35 minutes until golden and dry to touch. Do not open oven first 25 minutes.
  6. Cool crust completely (about 30 minutes).
  7. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Whisk pudding mix and cold milk 2 minutes until thickened. Fold pudding into cream cheese, then fold in whipped topping gently.
  8. Spread filling evenly over crust. Refrigerate 15 minutes to set.
  9. Melt chocolate chips and butter in microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in corn syrup and vanilla.
  10. Drizzle or spread chocolate topping over filling. Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
