  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch size)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (approximately 2 tablespoons)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Season chicken: Season the thinly sliced chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian seasoning.
  2. Cook chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  3. Add garlic: Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter to the same skillet with the chicken, then add minced garlic. Sauté for 60-90 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Prepare tortillas: Lay out the tortillas on a clean, dry surface. If your tortillas are refrigerated, warm them for 10-15 seconds in the microwave between damp paper towels to make them more pliable.
  5. Assemble wraps: Divide the garlic chicken mixture evenly among the four tortillas, placing it slightly off-center toward the bottom third of each tortilla.
  6. Add cheese: Sprinkle each wrap with the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese combination, using about 1/2 cup of cheese per wrap. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  7. Fold and wrap: Fold the bottom edge of each tortilla over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to form a secure wrap.
  8. Toast (optional): For an extra-crispy exterior, place the wrapped tortillas seam-side down in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese inside melts completely.
  9. Serve: Cut diagonally and serve immediately.
